NEW PAYMENT METHOD

We are glad to announce that we are now accepting payments by PAYPAL. Since we do not keep everything in stock and system cannot know exact weight of the parcel, we have decided to use PAYPAL Payment Request that you will receive as soon as we complete your order, just make sure that you fill in correctly your e-mail address, otherwise we will not be able to send this request to you. You will also see real shipping costs from this Payment Request and after we receive your payment we will despatch your order (we despatch non-EU orders on Fridays, EU orders on Wednesdays plus Fridays). If we do not receive your payment within one week, we will cancel your order and you will be asked for a different payment method in case of future order. We believe this will help out to those people in the world who have a credit card but is not supported by 3D Secure system. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

NEW RELEASES (05.05.2008)

Our last Newsletter brings you many new sets from AIRES, CMK and QUICKBOOST. There are many new models from AZ MODEL, HR MODEL, MAC, RODEN, RS MODEL and SPECIAL HOBBY. I should also mention 2 special kits from RVHP (big Embraer kits with Brazil and Belgium decals). TALLY-HO has finally released RAAF Spitfires in 1/48 scale and 4+ published their new book MiG-21F/U. We have added new line from AZ called BASIC, very limited edition for nice low price. RS MODEL has announced plans to make limited re-eition of couple of resin models. These should be released around E-Day in September 2008. Their price is unknown at the moment, but who is interested in it anyway, you can pre-order it even now.

PRICE BOOM OF EDUARD PRODUCTS (02.04.2008)

I am sorry to bring you this great news a bit later than expected, but I am in the hospital since Sunday and after a small operation I am able to do so work again only now :-) EDUARD has significantly lowered their prices - the difference is about 25%!! I have prepared a list of old and new EU prices of their products, if you are from outside of EU, you can deduct 19% VAT. You can download the lists here in two formats as usually: XLS or PDF.

There is also a big clearance sale of older masks and photo etches, you can check them right here. Prices are valid until supplies last in EDUARD.

PRICE ADJUSTMENTS (10.03.2008)

We can offer you the whole range of MINIART kits for much lower prices than before. Also models Firefly and Demon from AZ Model has been siginficantly discounted. Check them out.

NEW POSTAGE RATES (17.01.2008)

Czech Post has surprisingly lowered postage costs to foreign countries this year. Well, actually only for 1-2kg parcels. Shipping of 1kg parcel is slightly cheaper now, but in case of 2kg the difference is much bigger. You can see actual postage rates here.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION (15.01.2008)

We had to marked many items as "unavailable", because they cannot be bought anymore from producers or suppliers. These brands are: ALANGER, EASTERN EXPRESS, MAQUETTE, PST, SAMEK, resin kits from LEGATO and RS MODEL. What we still have in stock we can sell, but there are not many kits left.

NEW VERSION OF OUR WEBSHOP

Here is a list of new features in our webshop:

1. You can see a real-time "in-stock" situation (in stock - more than 5pcs., limited quantity in stock - 1-4pcs., not in stock) that is updated every 30 minutes. Sometimes it may happen that you order something that was in stock, but this could be bought some other customer who just placed order by phone, e-mail or fax and we just processed it, but you do not see it in webshop yet (it will be seen there after automatic stock update).

2. Enhanced Smart Search - now you can use advanced search and see what we currently have in stock, so you can have your items quite quickly in you hands (fulltext search should be working precisely during this week).

3. Process of placing your order is now done in 5 steps - A. check your shopping cart, B. choose your delivery address, C. choose your payment method, D. choose your shipping method, E. submit your order.

4. RSS channels - nice tools for everyone who loves to get tiny information about everything new in our webshop you can pick up just one category and one scale that is most interested for you and you do not have to check our website, until you will get a new message from us. This will be time for you to visit us and see what is new in "YOUR" category.

5. Filter of producers - if you list any category (e.g. AFV), you will get the whole list and first thing you see is list of all producers who makes AFV. Now you can check only those brands you wish to list and in couple of seconds you will have results.

6. List can be sorted by product name, catalogue number or price, in ascending or descending way, you can choose from brief or detailed listing, you can set number of products per page (max. 99).

7. In brief listing you can see some items in grey background (and without possibility to buy it) - these are all unavailable (=discontinued) items.

8. If you see on product detail "unavailable", but still in stock, it means that this product is no longer in production, but we still have last pc(s). in stock.

9. When you put anything into your shopping cart, you can return exactly where you were by pressing the button "Continue shopping".

10. The whole webshop should run much faster than our previous webshop.

It is possible that I forgot to mention anything else what is hopefully better than before, but now I am going to point to something what is not included in this new version yet:
Favourites - this function will be implemented to this webshop in several weeks from now, but I hope this will not affect you much for now. We will also have to add several of tens of missing pictures and parameters to many products that were imported from old to new webshop and somehow these information were lost, so now we will manually check it and correct it....

We hope that you will like our new webshop even more than our previous one and wil be easier to use. It is clear to us that not everything will run on 100%, but we will be making changes and improvements until all is done according to our ideas.

E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR RECLAMATIONS
Since we are getting more and more e-mails with reclamations with ordered items and it is not quite easy to look for it after some weeks and find it, we have decided to create new e-mail contacts just for this purpose: reclamation@modelimex.cz or reclamation@modelimex.com.

Use catalogue number and item's name (according to invoice sent to you) as SUBJECT of your e-mail and write us a brief reclamation (if possible, use printed instructions and numbering of parts) about any missing parts. Please, do not forget to write down your contact address and e-mail where we can reach you. Most common reclamation is missing part, so it will be very useful if you can send a scan of instructions with marked missing parts. Thank you for understanding and wish you no reclamations in the future.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT ONLINE PAYMENT

There are some rules for online credit card payments using 3D Secure system. When you make the online payment, money are only reserved on your account for this order, it is not actually charged to your card yet. If we cannot despatch the order within 20 days, we will ask you for making a new online payment (by using this link) before we despatch your order. More info about payment method can be found here.

Payment Gateway called 3D Secure Ceska Sporitelna will provide you with secure form. All of your information is protected with strong 128-bit SSL encryption before traveling over the internet.

We are using a SSL certificate from THAWTE.

Shipping rates (IMPORTANT)
When placing your order, shipping will be set for 16 EUR (for EUROPE) and for 18 EUR (for WORLD) no matter if you choose lower shipping. Reason is our new online payment system called 3D Secure that will not allow us to charge you higher shipping than you chose in your order (many people cannot imagine how "heavy" plastic kits can be).

AFTER YOUR ORDER IS PROCESSED WE WILL ONLY CHARGE ACTUAL SHIPPING RATE.
